With schools closed due to the rapid spread of coronavirus, you might well be stuck with bored children at home! Creative kids competitions are a great way to keep them busy – but will also put their brains to work. So I have decided to host a bookmark competition on my blog.
We’re living through a moment in history. A moment we must capture as we will be talking about it for many years to come.
Life for the time being has been turned upside down, but we also know from past moments in history that challenging times like this are also times of great creativity as people adjust to new ways of living and working.
We’ll learn a lot from what we’re experiencing today and so much of what we are learning will help make positive changes to the way we live, work and play in the future.
Here’s how we can do it :
FIRST, SHOW US WHAT YOUR LIFE IS LIKE TODAY
Create a bookmark that tells the story of how you’re spending your time whilst we’ve been asked to stay at home. The bookmark can be any shape and size. Let your imagination be the limit!
It could show what you’ve been up to, or how you’re keeping in touch with your family and friends; what you’re learning, or how you are staying fit and happy.
THEN, SHOW US HOW WE COULD CREATE A BETTER FUTURE
Create another piece of bookmark describing how you see a better world after the pandemic is over.
Thinking about what you’ve learnt and experienced during this time, what is your vision of the future? What ideas do you have that might help make a better world? What would you like to see done differently? What would you like to change?
UPLOAD YOUR PICTURES!
We’ll display all of your artwork here in the gallery, so keep coming back to check for new ones. For inspiration checkout my post on diy bookmarks
The closing date for submissions is 30th July 2020. So please get creating and the sooner we can have your artworks the better!
Email your entries at email@example.com
