My Quarantine Story: Reflections On Days Spent in Quarantine

Starting 24th March, the government of India announced a nationwide lockdown as a preventive measure against spread of coronavirus. However my school was shut down on 13th March .In my quarantine story I talk about how I have managed to cope so far and the thought process that helped me in doing so.

There are a lot of ways to look at the quarantine . And in this post I am going to change the perspective ! A little bit of positivity is much needed in this unprecedented times .In this Lockdown, many of us are discovering newer interests to kill time with and being introduced to capabilities we didn’t know we were in possession of before.

When one door closes, another door opens but we so often so regretfully open the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.

For instance I started my book blog in this lockdown a month ago ! What was I waiting for to realize this amazing skill that I have? I even made many pen friends from the blogging community and goodreads 🙂

Spending most of the time indoors has increased the time you spend with our family members. You have got once in a lifetime opportunity to spend so many days altogether with your family, and it is better to not waste them.

I even learned to bake by myself and am a quite passable baker now ! I loved helping my mom with the cooking too and we tried to sooo many recipes together. I am spending more time with my sister too and love watching movies with my father!

The most essential of all, being in a lockdown will make us realize the importance of the freedom we all had. It will make us realize the importance of a healthy body and will fill us with a feeling of gratitude towards God, towards our government, towards our doctors and towards everyone who is working day and night for a better and healthy lifestyle.

My quarantine is slowly coming to an end now. But a return to everyday life still seems rather far off: similar regulations to those I had to adhere to now apply to the whole country. The days through which we are passing, are challenging. There are difficult situations in our world. So, we are lightening lamps with hopes and desires, and we aspire deeply that everything will become normal again! The world has to come together and fight this virus. I am sure we will be successful. It’s only a matter of time and everything will go back to normal again.

I would love to hear how you are spending your Quarantine Story too !

  2. I see it as a good time to chill at home, spend time with the family and have some time to stream some shows. Besides, going out is much more troublesome.
