Hiya Amigos ! I know this supposed me in mid-June but being new to the community was not aware until the wonderful Aria tagged me ! It’s a bit of an institution here in the bookish community – It’s a great time to check in and see where I’m at, and to share some favorites with you.

The questions:
Best Book You’ve Read This Year?
This one is so tough! I will go with a few ….

- Smile
- Artemis Fowl
- Murder on the Orient Express
- I have not yet written review for ‘The Worst Thing about My Sister ‘
Best Sequel You’ve Read This Year?

Hahah when I saw this question, my immediate thought was “have I read any sequels”?
My absolute standout sequel was one that I read immediately after the first book in the series as I loved the first so much. Guts !!!! After Smile :)And even Artemis Fowl and the Arctic Circle
New Release You Haven’t Read Yet But Want To?

The cover is absolutely gorgeous and the premise of the book sounds amazing! . And I have heard stunning things about it from fellow book bloggers .I don’t even own it which is sad…
Most Anticipated Release For The Second Half Of The Year?

Isn’t this the most beautiful one of the series?
Can’t wait to read this (hopefully) epic conclusion to one of my favorite series of all time. I also want to re read the others in the series !
Biggest Disappointment?

It was the biggest disappointment I really had liked Divergent and was looking forward to reading the rest
Allegiant was so chock full of plot holes, unrealistic situations, contrived character development and laughable explanations !
I have not written a review yet but really looking forward to tell why I was so disappointed 😦
SPOILER ALERT !!!
And the ending was ridiculous and made me roll my eyes so hard. [Seriously, Roth? Killing off your main character to make it more dramatic? That’s just low.
Biggest Surprise?

I can’t think of any I was super surprised by but I was pleasantly moderately surprised by Kane Chronicle: The Red Pyramid .Atleast from Goodreads I had not heard great things about this trilogy . There were surely good reviews but I expected this to be a fine read . And it was obvoiusly not better than PJO or HoO but still it kind of exceeded my expectations .
New Favorite Author (New To You Or Debut)?
Oh I have read so many excellent debuts already! I really liked No Ordinary Thing by GZ Schmidt …..I received an ARC of No Ordinary Thing and I read it within a couple of days. I have even done an author interview with her :)It was absolutely amazing. Then Agatha Christie is also amazing…. I recently read her books and I love them….Murder on the Orient Express is one of my favs ! It is the perfect book to curl up and get lost in !
Book That Made You Cry?
I’m a fairly emotional person, so it’s not a shocker when a book makes me cry but that’s because I become very attached to characters. If something sad happens in the book and I don’t cry then you know that I don’t like the book.
Book That Made You Happy?
There are so many books that make me happy …..I just can’t choose one….I am sicker for happy endings 🙂
Favorite Book To Film Adaptation?

Little Woman and the Worst and Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life I really enjoyed watching them both
Favorite Post You Have Done This Year?
So I just started on May ….so this question should not be too difficult
- Percy Jackson Books Best to Worst This was one of my first posts !
- DIY Bookmarks This was really fun to do and combing two of my favorite things books and craft 🙂
- Physical books vs E books vs Audiobooks I love discussion posts and I got to hear so many new opinions !
Most Beautiful Book You’ve Bought Or Received This Year?

They are all gorgeous!!! I just finished reading No Ordinary Thing and can’t wait to write a review . The other one I have not read yet but want to read soon !
What Books Do You Need To Read By The End Of The Year?
There are so many ! I want to re read Trials of Apollo and Magnus Chase. Then I want to read the Lunar Chronicles….Maze Runner…..Cinderella is Dead….the list is endless !!!!
I nominate:
Amber | Emily |Alice | Yesha | Anna| and anyone else who has not done this tag
Just tell me in the comments if you want your name to be added and I will add your name !
Time to tell me all your half-yearly news!! are you behind or on track with your Goodreads goal? what have been your highlight reads of 2020 so far?

Having read through this I think it is extremely informative.
I appreciate you finding the time and effort to place this informative article together.
I remember when i again find myself personally spending
way too much time both reading and posting comments. But so
what on earth, it was still worthwhile!

You’re welcome, I hope you have fun with the post 🖤Yes Divergent was a great start to the series and Allegiant just felt like the “finale” no one really asked for

Oh I love Raina Telgemeier’s work! I think Smile was one of my favorites! But I also just love graphic novels in general! They tend to make me happy!
And I totally agree with you! The ending to Allegient was super weak! I knew the ending before I read it, but even so that book wasn’t good in my opinion!

Yes I too love them….in fact I was not at all a fan of graphic novel before I read smile….it was recommended for me by the librarian….. I found this short novel to be very easy to read and all the more enjoyable due to the wonderful artwork …..I found
it as a funny, sad, touching and very moving story ! Also like I mentioned in the post I’m a fairly emotional person, so it’s not a shocker when a book makes me cry but that’s because I become very attached to characters. So I cried when I read Smile 😭yep it was really predictable I could go on ranting on tris’s death !!! Also writing was sooo poorly written. I felt like the author just kind of ran out of ideas

Ugh, Allegiant had a terrible ending!!! I hated it too. I *love* the Kane Chronicles though, definitely my favorite Riordan series that isn’t PJO or HoO. The magical-musical book looks wonderful!!

Glad you agree with me ! I was badly hoping for an epic ending…..I honestly thought the author was joking when they killed her off with a GUN. At least make her death DRAMATIC or MEMORABLE ! Yep I really liked Kane chronicles and also appreciate that though it’s still about mythical gods, it’s not an exact copy of what PJO is. It’s super different and stands on its own as a really unique and interesting story.Yes I loved the cover hope it is a good read

Exactly my thoughts about The Kane Chronicles! I love how unique it is. I found that both Trials of Apollo and Magnus Chase were pretty much carbon copies of PJO.

Yes Magnus Chase didn’t feel… like anything new. It was predictable and none of the characters really stood out . But I fell trials of Apollo really stood out from the rest !
