(100th POST!!) Book Review: A Pocketful Of Stars! + A Few Changes😅

Hello everyone!!

So, in my previous post I had introduced a concept of a fun interaction with the readers in the form of a RIDDLE. Well, that idea was a success!

But then, there was something wrong about it. It was not “ BOOKISH “, which it should be as this  is a “ Book Blog”. They were just riddles about random topics.

Also, not many people are good at riddles but I am sure everyone is well aware about books!

That is why I am making some new changes in the idea that was introduced.

They are:

  • THE RIDDLE ASKED WOULD BE RELATED TO A FAMOUS “BOOK” OR “COMIC”.
  • THE RIDDLE WOULD BE EITHER BE IN THE FORM OF A PICTURE OR A FAMOUS QUOTE FROM THAT PARTICULAR BOOK OR A DESCRIPTIVE LINE ABOUT THE BASIC PLOT OR THEME OF THE BOOK OR A RIDDLE ASKED IN THE BOOK.

If you all have any doubts or queries then please tell them to me in the comments below!

I will surely answer them.

So, today’s bookish riddle is –

It is from the Harry Potter Series!

Question:

“First think of the person who lives in disguise,
Who deals in secrets and tells naught but lies,
Next tell me what’s always the last thing to mend,
The middle of middle and end of the end?
And finally give me the sound often heard,
During the search for a hard-to-find word.
Now string them together, and answer me this,
Which creature would you be unwilling to kiss?”

Who am I?

I am eagerly awaiting all your answers.

Well, let’s begin with my post now! Hope you all like it!

So, as I had mentioned in my recent 2nd WWW Wednesday that as soon as I complete reading this book, I will surely write its review. Well, here I am,writing it for all of you! I kept my promise!

“THIS PLACE IS MAGIC…

BUT NOT THE SORT OF MAGIC,

THAT COMES FROM WANDS A SPELLS…..”

Safiya and her mother rarely see eye to eye, but when her mother falls ill, something extremely mysterious begins to happen. Safiya finds herself transported back time to her mother’s childhood home in Kuwait and it isn’t just a magical place; it is a game that needs to be played by Sofiya in order to rescue her mother. This is not it, her friendship with her childhood BFF starts to distort  and she is losing the track as well as thrill of life. She realizes that opening her heart to the past is the very key to change her forthcoming future…….

Overall, this is a stunning novel about family, friendship and finding yourself stuck in the most unexpected of places…

Well, to begin with I am a lover of fiction novels, especially the ones full of magic like the CORALINE, THE GIRL WHO DRANK THE MOON etc. It somehow soothes me and also appeals my senses. Luckily, this book has a elegant touch of fiction too!

When I first came to know about the book, I was really very fascinated. I read many positive reviews in Goodreads too and thus decided to pick up this book.

Now, when it comes to my opinion about this book, then I must say that it was really very moving as well as heartfelt. I loved the way the author portrayed the character of the protagonist, Sofiya. It was gracious and deeply described.

Secondly, I loved the fact that each scene in the book was interlinked with popular books like: Harry Potter Series, The Wizard Of Oz, Alice In The Wonderland etc. It actually enhanced the storyline a lot. Being an avid reader, I had read most of the books mentioned in this novel and thus was able to co – relate to the story in a much efficient manner. I really think that this was totally the best part about this book.

To sum up, I must say that I really enjoyed reading this book and I would surely recommend it to all the viewers reading my post.

Hope you all will like the book as much as I do.

Well, it doesn’t seem too bad so far, just those doll eyes are creeeeepy. Felt like saying this, quite random but oh well!
